This book introduces ten aspects about China’s folk culture including etiquettes, marriage and wedding in life, twelve Chinese zodiac signs, lunar calendar and 24 solar terms, auspicious patterns, traditional templefair, new year pictures, dragon culture, taboos, and traditional costumes like cheongsam and Tang suits. Besides these, there are also cultural notes such as Qing Emperor Qianlong, the idiom “when a boy is grown he should find a wife, and when a girl is old enough she should find a husband”, zodiac year of birth, and Chinese people’s view of colors, etc.
