Ming Tombs, located on the foot of Tianshou Mount in the Changping Distrirct of Beijing, are the tombs of 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty ( 1368-1644 ). 50 kilometers away from the urban area of Beijing, the tombs cover a total area of about 80 square kilometers. The work of construction began in 1409 and ended in the Ming Dynasty's demise in 1644, including thirteen imperial tombs, seven concubine tombs and a eunuch tomb.
