Of a variety of picture postcards with China motif distributed home and abroad from the end of the 19th century to the early period of the 20th century, the present collection offers a small but typical selection in contents and themes, from which, howerer, those are excluded that show the country and its citizens in perspective of insulting colonialists and that present the history with prejudice.
