Between His Own Shield and His Own Spear is the second volume of Chinese idiom stories. It tells us one truth: there is no such a shield in the world that cant be broken, or such a spear that can destruct everything, meaning that one says contradictory things or does an inconsistent thing but fails to justify himself. One cannot draw a contradictory conclusion in his own judgment to the same thing. If one does so, he makes a mistake in logic. Contradiction is a common form for things to exist, and everything has its contradiction. Be it the material objective world or the subjective world of our thoughts, there is always contradiction.
