Disk 1:
China National Day 60th Anniversary Military Parade: highlights the pageantry of this military review, displaying China's military great achievements in modernization and standardization as well as some new weapons, which presents a new China to the world.
Disk 2:
China National Day 60th Anniversary Evening Gala:
The evening gala for the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China will be held in Tiananmen Square at eight pm on Oct 1st 2009. Directed by Zhang Yimou, this gala consists of one prelude and four acts: 'This is a Great Nation', 'It is Where I Grew Up', 'On this Vast and Great Land' and 'There is Beautiful Sunshine Everywhere'. The gala will feature a lights show, fireworks, and ethnic arts performances.
One striking feature of the evening is fireworks display which will last for 33 minutes. They include fireworks with speical effect such as blasts in high, middle and low air and picture-themed fireworks. Besides, there are performances in central get-together area in front of Changan street and Jinshuiqiao, light cube performance and fireworks display. The mass get-together, performance in central area and light cube and fireworks display supplementing each other, make a wonderful and unforgettable evening.
