I Love Learning Chinese (Specially Designed for Primary School) Vol 1 (with 1 CD)

Excellent book for beginner level.
Start with this series and add additional books that show pictures with vocabulary and do ROTE exercises to memorise.
Then work up to elementary/junior/senior levels....
