HSK Syllabus–Vocabulary Handbooks, which can be divided into four volumes by different levels, are self-study handbooks of HSK vocabulary. Each entry of this book mainly consists of five parts:

1. Vocabulary display, which involves pinyin, part of speech and English interpretation;
2. Common collocations, which provides several commonly-used practical collocations;
3. Example sentences, most of the sentences are extracted from real HSK tests.
4. Right and wrong usage, mistaken usage of the past candidates is selected and shown to candidates so that they can have a more in-depth understanding of the words.
5. Vocabulary expansion, words related to each entry are provided so that learners’ Chinese vocabulary can be expanded.

This book is rich in content and can provide candidates with all-round vocabulary learning counseling.

Her main research fields include the teaching theories, teaching methods and textbooks of TCFL.Editor Gao Yang is an assistant professor of the School of Chinese Studies, Faculty of International Education ofChinese Language of Beijing Language and Culture University.
