As the validity of a translator's sociopolitical standpoints and their guidance for a translation is a determinant of whether translation can promote intercultural communication, intercultural ethic, a norm for respectful intercultural communication, is to be scrutinized in present dissertation. A translator's strategies should run their course where the norm of intercultural ethic s a reminder of the necessity to link fidelity with intercultural ethic. The author puts her mind to the relationship between intercultural ethic and translators' subjectivity. The patterns in which intercultural ethic normalizes translation-related cultural features, textual features, intersubjective cooperation, translation theorization, manipulation of ideology and patrons, etc. are treated of as regards the coexistence of multiple types of intercultural ethic, diversified approaches to follow intercultural ethic with texts for it, against it or without visible relevance with it, the cooperation between a translator and an author, the semi-detached normalization in translation theorization as well as the acceptance or rejection of intercultural ethic.
