This textbook series is designed for primary schools in North America, consisting of student textbooks, workbooks and teacher’s guides. Each volume contains 10 lessons, and every lesson is divided into three sections: Step 1, Step 2 and Step 3. The design and compilation philosophy of the series are mainly based on foreign language teaching concepts outlined in the *Standards for Foreign Language Learning in the 21st Century* and the K-12 Learner Performance Guidelines formulated by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), centering on the Five Cs Framework. Teaching content follows the syllabuses of the new YCT and new HSK issued by Confucius Institute Headquarters. After systematic study from Grade 1 to Grade 5, learners will master the full content of the new YCT, most of new HSK Level 1 and Level 2, as well as partial content of new HSK Level 3 and Level 4. In addition, localized daily vocabulary and other common expressions are also supplemented.
