The author, an architect, has worked in Shanghai since 1997 and written articles about Shanghai architecture for a number of Italian architectural magazines. This series of guides to architecture follows a consistent concept, illustrating buildings with photos, drawings and details of their locations in the city. In this book, the author refers to the history of Shanghai architecture, and mainly compares the Bund and the People's Square to show the development of Shanghai's architecture.
