3		táng dài 唐代 shí 时， “ shí gǎn dāng 石敢当 ” sān zì 三字 yǐ jīng 已经 xiě 写 zài 在 shí tou 石头 shàng 上， bèi 被 zuò wéi 作为 fáng zi 房子 de 的 zhèn wù 镇物 ér 而 shǐ yòng 使用。 During Tang Dynasty, these three characters have been carved on stones and were used to protect houses from evil things.
