The water and salt monitoring region of Yerqiang River basin plain oasis are divided into two categories, agriculture area and non-agriculture area, based on the Remote Sensing imagines (TM).
Taking the Yeerqiang River Valley, Xinjiang as an example, types, degrees, characteristics, and causes of soil salinization were analyzed in relation to groundwater table in this district.
To the east of Yantak, is the boundless Taklimakan Desert, while to the west, is the surging Yarkan River. The ancestors of the Dolan people survived only in small oases by hunting.
