Since Chinese Reading Course was published, it has been used by many teaching institutions both home and abroad. Its revised edition still has the style of the original edition and arranges the content in sequence: new words (from characters to words, phrases and sentences); explanations (knowledge about Chinese characters are focused from lesson 1~lesson 4); texts; exercises; exercises after class. To go well with Chinese Course (Revised Edition), it has made considerable revisions in terms of new words, phrases, texts and exercises. The number of lessons has been reduced from 60 to 50 in the first two volumes (volume 1 has 30 lessons and volume 2 has 20 lessons.) Texts in the revised version have the accompanying recordings to help students better understand texts and build up their sense of language.
