Suddenly a raft appeared, looking rather like Noah's ark, carrying the whole family, a few hens, the dogs, cat, and bird in a cage.

Mrs. Peters : ( Glancing around . ) Seems funny to think of a bird here .But she must have had one , or why would she have a cage ?
