Lu, vassal state at the time of the Zhou Dynasty 周朝 , located in the southwest of present-day Shandong 山东 , birthplace of Confucius

5		“ yì 佚 ” tòng 通 “ yì 逸 ” ） gōng yuán qián 公元前 684年， qí guó 齐国 pài bīng 派兵 gōng dǎ 攻打 lǔ guó 鲁国。 In 684 BC, the Qi army attacked the state of Lu.
