远 yuǎn 亲 qīn 不 bù 如 rú 近 jìn 邻 lín (Trad.: 遠親不如近鄰)

A relative afar is less use than a close neighbor (idiom). Take whatever help is on hand, even from strangers.

1		zài 在 dà duō shù 大多数 shí jiān 时间 lǐ 里， yuǎn qīn bù rú jìn lín 远亲不如近邻。 Neighbor is better than a distant relative in most of the time.

4		sú huà shuō 俗话说 “ yuǎn qīn bù rú jìn lín 远亲不如近邻 ” ， yǒu 有 gè 个 hǎo lín jū 好邻居 shì 是 jiàn 件 xìng yùn 幸运 de 的 shì 事。 An old saying goes that a near neighbor is better than a distant cousin. Having a good neighbor is lucky.
