Tasks are assigned to one of the four quadrants: not important, not urgent; not important, urgent; important, not urgent; and important and urgent.

In other words, each DB2 instance can have its own quadrant 3 memory space.

If you keep your items stored visually in this fashion it lets you quickly handle items in the right quadrant depending on the situation.

The shared memory available per instance, then becomes, 1GB plus whatever space is still available in quadrant 4.
