“组合汉语”是基于汉语语言事实的一种新的汉语理论，“组合汉语教学”是基于组合汉语理论的一套新的汉语教学理论和汉语教学法。组合汉语和组合汉语教学的“新”，主要表现为对汉语特点和汉语教学特点的认识和解释。人们普遍觉得汉字难学，并由此推及汉语难学。吕必松先生认为，所谓汉字和汉语难学，并不是汉字和汉语本身固有的特点决定的，而是因为没有按照汉字的特点教汉字，也没有按照汉语的特点教汉语。吕必松先生从事的教学实践证明，汉语、汉字本是容易学的语言文字，只要按照汉字的特点教汉字，按照汉语的特点教汉语，就能还原汉字和汉语容易学的本来面貌。

About Author

吕必松原北京语言学院（现北京语言大学）院长、国家汉办第一任主任、世界汉语教学学会第一任会长、著名语言学家、语言教育家、对外汉语教学先驱。长期从事对外汉语教学与研究工作，先后出版十多部理论著作和汉语教材。20世纪80年代以来在国内外发表重要论文数十篇，并多次出国任教或访学。1983年主持成立了中国对外汉语教学学会，1987年主持成立了世界汉语教学学会，1990年主持完成了“中国汉语水平考试（HSK）”（初、中等），1997年荣获美国西密执安大学人文荣誉博士学位。20世纪末以来，吕必松教授致力于倡导“字本位”，并提出“组合汉语”的概念，主张在字本位的理论基础上重新阐释汉语特点，进而进行对外汉语教学理论、教学体系及具体教学方法的改革。《汉语语法新解》一书是作者生前最后几年埋头研究的成果，是把字本位、组合汉语的理念具体应用到汉语分析和汉语教学中的代表之作。

张旺熹，男，1962年11月生于安徽省芜湖市。2004年获得文学博士学位。现为北京语言大学教授、语言学及应用语言专业博士生导师。1984年7月毕业于安徽大学中文系，获学士学位。1987年7月毕业于山东大学中文系，获硕士学位。1987年7月至今，在北京语言大学从事编辑、教学和科研工作。1994年破格晋升为副研究员。1996年起担任《世界汉语教学》杂志副主编。2001年考入上海师范大学，在职攻读博士学位。2001年起担任对外汉语研究中心副主任。2001年晋升为研究员。2003年增列为语言学及应用语言学专业对外汉语教学方向博士研究生导师。 2004年6月，获得上海师范大学语言学及应用语言学专业文学博士学位。

From a typological and cross-linguistic perspective and guided by the theories of constructionalization and construction grammar, this book takes a descriptive as well as interpretive approach in examining the diachronic development of the three most representative and frequently used categories of Chinese adverbial clauses – concessive adverbial clauses, conditional adverbial clauses, and causal adverbial clauses. Based on a detailed quantitative statistical analysis of language data from different dynasties, this book tries to reveal the patterns of how the construction of Chinese adverbial clauses changed over history and to probe into the underlying motivation and mechanism. In addition, it makes a further typological exploration into Chinese adverbial clauses by discussing the commonalities and individualities of the three categories in their diachronic development.

Xu Shijing, a PhD in linguistics and applied linguistics, works as a research assistant and master’s supervisor at Beijing Language and Culture University Press whose research interests lie in Chinese grammar, historical linguistics, and language evolution. Dr. Xu has hosted a national social science project on the diachronic development of Chinese conditional sentences from a typological perspective and several BLCU research projects. This book makes a systematic study of “V上”in modern Chinese taking the perspective of events and using the theories in cognition linguistics. This is a reference book aiming to help students learn the tones of Chinese words and the rhythm of unstressed and stressed tones. The 11,092 words included herein, being wide-ranging and scientifically graded, come from The Graded Chinese Syllables, Characters and Words for the Application of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, the first globally-oriented national standard for TCSOL. In this book, there are two vocabulary lists: a total list organized in alphabetical order and a list ordered by word level, number of syllables, tone combination, and tone pattern. All the words are provided with recording in standard pronunciation to facilitate students' intensive practice. This book can be used as a pronunciation teaching material for non-Chinese speakers, or as a reference book for the computer-based HKC test, for Chinese ethnic minorities to learn Chinese and Putonghua, or for the overall design, textbook compilation and teaching research of TCSOL.

Liu Yinglin is a professor at BLCU and Hong Kong Polytechnic University, first director of BLCU and Hanban HSK Test Center, one of the initiators of the HSK test (a doctoral fund program of China’s State Education Commission), holder of a lifetime entitlement granted by the State Council in 1992, a consultant of Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination and committee member of HK Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers since 1996, and a HSK advisory committee member during 2004-2006. Mr. Liu is the chief editor of the first book in China on HSK studies, chief editor of Chinese Proficiency Levels: Standards and Grammar Syllabus, planner of the PSK test in Hong Kong, and leading expert in the development of The Graded Chinese Syllables, Characters and Words for the Application of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (the first national standard for TCSOL). Prosodic grammar is a new research area. This book uses theories to discuss many prosodic issues in language, especially in Chinese, so as to enhance people's understanding of the interaction between prosody and grammar.

About the Author
Feng Shengli, a Professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Changjiang Scholar of Beijing Language and Culture University, was admitted to Beijing Normal University in 1977. At first, he studied Ancient History in History Department. Two years later, he pursued graduate studies in Chinese Department under the supervision of Lu Zongda, and became a teacher after graduation. Soon he studied Western Linguistics under the supervision of Professor Labov at University of Pennsylvania and got his PhD degree in Linguistics. He was a Tenured Professor of the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Kansas, a Professor of the Department of East Asian Language and Civilization and a Director of Chinese Department at Harvard University. He worked as a Director of Harvard Beijing Academy, and a Changjiang Scholar of Beijing Language and Culture University. Prof. Feng has also served as a Director of the International Association of Chinese Linguistics, Subeditor of “Journal of Chinese Linguistics”, and an appraisal officer of NSF program. He is now an Editorial Board Member of nearly ten journals on linguistics and language teaching, and a reviewer of linguistic periodical offices and publishing houses both in China and abroad.

Elastic Words in Chinese is a book in the "Chinese Prosodic Grammar" series, talking about the various phenomena related to words with elastic length in Chinese (such as “学汉语/学习汉语/汉语学习/*汉语学” and “煤炭店/煤店/煤炭商店/*煤商店”) from the perspective of dynamic language use. Within the theoretical framework of prosodic grammar and register grammar, this book gives a profound analysis and explanation of these phenomena and for the first time clearly points out the difference between the research paradigms on the dynamic expression level and the static word level. According to this book, the source of the phenomena of elastic words is prosodic, not syntactic or semantic. Tones, Intonation and Sentence-Final Particles

The relationship among tones, intonation and sentence-final particles was first studied in Feng Shengli (2015), in which Feng put forward the Intonation-Particle Hypothesis (I-P Hypothesis). This book interprets and verifies the I-P Hypothesis from several aspects. First, in the part of theoretical foundation, this book introduces in detail what is I-P Hypothesis and the interdependence and interaction among tones, intonation and sentence-final particles; second, in the part of empirical demonstration, this book verifies the I-P Hypothesis based on ancient Chinese, Chinese ethnic minority languages, and the Bantu languages in Africa. Based on the theory of rhyme, this book predicts the complementary distribution of the first-person pronouns "吾" and "我" in pre-Qin Chinese in line with the basic principles of prosodic phonology, syntax and the research findings on Chinese prosody in recent years. Through the retrieval of corpus, whether the prediction is consistent with the materials is verified. Pronunciation acquisition involves two processes: listening and speaking, which means from phonetics to phonology and then back to phonetics. Phonological construction in based on the distinguishing characteristics of the language, and the process of phonetic realization involves other phonetic conditions and processes. Language learners are supposed to extract sporadic, linguistically meaningful phonetic units from the continuous sound signals they hear and thus build a phonological model of the specific language in their mind. Their pronunciation is under the combined influence of phonological opposition and phonetic realization mechanism. The analysis of the process of Chinese pronunciation acquisition in this book is based on the description and interpretation of the “phonetics – phonology – phonetics” process. The model of teaching Chinese pronunciation should be in conformity with the characteristics of the Chinese language. In Chinese, one character represents one syllable and each character has its tone. Therefore, the author proposes that, with syllabic structures and tonal features being understood, pronunciation teaching should integrate sentential prosody into syllable and tone teaching so as to cultivate students' fluent and natural oral expression.

Li Zhiqiang, PhD in linguistics from MIT, is a professor in the Department of Modern and Classical Linguistics, College of Arts and Sciences, University of San Francisco. A Study on Prosodic Syntax of Interrogative Sentences in Ancient Chinese

The bisyllablization of Chinese

There is a close relationship between the bisyllablization of Chinese and the foot transformation in the history of Chinese language, but how to realize the foot transformation in the history of Chinese language is an issue needing further discussion. Starting from the syllabic structures in classic Chinese, this book explores the inevitability of this transformation based on the theory of prosodic grammar, i.e., the natural simplification of the syllabic structures in classic Chinese has led to the transformation of foot in the history of Chinese, and the transformation of foot has directly brought about the bisyllablization of Chinese. On this basis, the book further shows the bisyllablization, including the lexical operation, syntactic operation and lexicalization, and discusses the influence of bisyllablizationon on Chinese.

Studies in Prosodic Grammar takes a prosodic perspective, uses the related theories from various aspects to discuss prosodic issues in language, especially in Chinese, so as to enhance people's cognition of the interplay between prosody and grammar.

About the Author
Feng Shengli, Professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Changjiang Scholar of Beijing Language and Culture University, was admitted to Beijing Normal University in 1977. At first, he studied Ancient History in History Department. Two years later, he pursued graduate studies in Chinese Department under the supervision of Lu Zongda, and became a teacher after graduation. Soon he studied Western Linguistics under the supervision of Professor Labov at University of Pennsylvania and got his PhD degree in Linguistics. He was a Tenured Professor of the Department of East Asian Studies at the University of Kansas, a Professor of the Department of East Asian Language and Civilization and a Director of Chinese Department at Harvard University. He worked as a Director of Harvard Beijing Academy, and a Changiang Scholar of Beijing Language and Culture University. Prof. Feng has also served as a Director of the International Association of Chinese Linguistics, Subeditor of “Journal of Chinese Linguistics”, and an appraisal officer of NSF program. He is now an Editorial Board Member of nearly ten journals on linguistics and language teaching, and a reviewer of linguistic periodical offices and publishing houses both in China and abroad.

About the Author
Professor Li Yuming is the dean of the Beijing Advanced InnovationCenterfor Language Resources and Intelligence (BLCU) and a doctoral supervisor. Mr. Li is a former president of the Chinese Linguistics Society (2016-2017), president of the Language Policy and Planning Board, vice president of the International Association of Chinese Linguistics, and the chief editor of Chinese Journal of Language Policy and Planning. Other positions Mr. Li once held include the deputy director of the State Language Commission, head of the Department of Language Information Administration of the Ministry of Education, and director of the Institute of Applied Linguistics of the Ministry of Education.
Mr. Li has won many important awards and titles, including a special government allowance from the State Council, a national Labor Day medal, and a “2013 Distinguished Chinese Visiting Scholar” title from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
Li’s major research interests focus on theoretical linguistics, syntax, psychological linguistics, and language planning. He has published more than 10 books, includingDevelopment of Child Language,On the Quantity Category in Chinese,A Catalogue of Grammar Studies, andLanguage Planning in China, as well as over 480 academic papers. This workbook is the culmination of a project initiated in the early 1980s by JimMartin and Clare Painter, who were joined in the endeavour by Christian Matthiessenin 1988. We three were all concerned to provide support materials for students andcolleagues who were learning the analyses proposed in Halliday's Introduction toFunctional Grammar. In particular we shared the experience of guiding studentsthrough familiar kinds of difficulties year after year - and wanted to prepare materialswhich would help learners through and around these experiences. We also wanted toprovide some support for people learning the grammar on their own, or without thedialogue provided by a critical mass of systemic linguists such as we enjoy in theSydney metropolitan region.

Since the publication of the first workbook titled Working with FunctionalGrammar in 1997, we have had the opportunity to use it with students, and to receivefeedback from many colleagues around the world. It became clear to us that weneeded to make a number of corrections and in some cases provide less confusingexamples. We were also keen to include a chapter on group and phrase analysis, whichfor reasons of space was excluded from the first edition; and we also wanted tointerface the grammar analyses considered here with discourse semantic systems, sothat their complementary roles in text analysis could be exemplified.

When negotiations with the original publisher along these lines broke down, wesecured the rights for the volume, and began exploring publication elsewhere. The Commercial Press has generously allowed us the additional scope we needed toamend the first edition with two additional chapters. We are delighted to bepublishing this second edition in China, where so much interest in functional grammarhas grown. Since IFG2 is still in print in China, we have accordingly cross-referencedthis edition to both the second and third editions of IFG.

We are of course much indebted to the many colleagues who have discussedaspects of these materials with us, to the many tutors who have dealt first-hand withproblems, and to the now thousands of students who have committed at least ahundred hours of their lives each to learning functional grammar in ourundergraduate linguistics and MA applied linguistics programs at the University ofSydney, Macquarie University, the University of Technology Sydney and the Universityof New South Wales.

《汉语篇章回指研究(英文版)》介绍回指是篇章连贯的重要手段，也是当代语言学研究的热点之一，因为影响回指的因素众多而且错综复杂，目前仍难以得到一个统一清晰的解释。《汉语篇章回指研究(英文版)》旨在对汉语篇章的不同回指形式进行系统研究，力图找出不同回指形式的使用规律，并在此基础上对众多回指形式的不同使用规律进行了总结研究。

《唐诗在法国的译介和研究》内容简介：“汉学”一词本义是对中国语言、历史、文化等的研究，而在国内习惯上专指外国人的这种研究，所以特称“国际汉学”，也有时作“世界汉学”“国际中国学”，以区别于中国人自己的研究。至于“国际汉学研究”，则是对国际汉学的研究。中外都有学者从事国际汉学研究，但我们在这里讲的，是中国学术界的国际汉学研究。

蒋向艳，女，1977年生于浙江东阳，复旦大学比较文学博士，华东师范大学对外汉语学院副教授，比利时鲁汶大学汉学系访问学者（2010.2—2010.12）。主要从事比较文学、中法文学关系和海外汉学的研究。曾主持国家社科基金青年项目“唐诗在法语世界的译介和研究”（07CZW021），著有《程抱一的唐诗翻译和唐诗研究》（上海：华东师范大学出版社，2008）。

北京语言大学对外汉语研究中心作为对外汉语教学领域**的重量重点研究基地，长期从事汉语作为第二语言的语言研究、教学研究和学习研究，是汉语作为第二语言教学领域的科学研究中心、人才培养中心、学术交流中心和信息资料中心。《汉语应用语言学研究》是该中心于2012年创办，依托中心主办的年度国际会议及其他重要学术会议，每集根据学科发展和汉语国际传播所面临的重大理论问题和现实需求确定研讨主题，并围绕主题组织和遴选稿件，使相关讨论得以在一个大题域内多方面、多层次、多视角地展开，以期引发学界对热点问题的关注，从而形成合力进行探讨研究。第5辑中共包括20篇文章，有综述性质的《对外汉语教学研究的发展概况和学术进展（2013-2014）》；有对外汉语语法教学相关理论研究，如《对外汉语语法教学的认知视角》《汉语语法翻转课堂教学模式的实施方案与实现条件》等；有针对不同母语学习者的研究，如阿拉伯、泰国、欧美、韩国、新加坡、德国等；有针对具体语法点的专项研究，如《“一时”和“暂时”》等。

基于双语语料库的汉英体转换规则的形式研究

本研究自建一个汉英体双语平行语料库，从中提取了汉—英体对应的语言事实，描述了以体标记“着”、“了”为例的“时间状语+体”结构的体意义，总结和解释了体意义的变化规律，提出了多套适合于汉语体翻译为多种英语体现象的汉—英体转换规则，采用多叉多标记和特征合一方法，运用Prolog逻辑语言含有的Patr语法规则在机器上实现了形式化转换规则，运用多种机器学习方法检验了转换规则的准确率、AUC曲线下面积，运用统计方法建模将“着”测试特征集从原始的40组删减到了14组，删除了“了”测试特征集中的相冲突特征2个，进一步论证和筛选了测试特征。

瞿云华，女，1961年7月生，浙江杭州人，浙江大学外国语言文化与国际交流学院语言与翻译系教授，博士生导师，师从著名计算语言学家冯志伟，2007年7．q在中国传媒大学获计算语言学博士；2009年3月～2009年9月获世界大学联盟研究交流基金在英国利兹大学翻译中心任访问学者，2012年1月～2013年1月获国家公派访问学者(含博士后研究)项目在美国北亚利桑那大学语料库语言学研究中心任访问学者；主要从事计算语言学、语料库语言学、汉英时体对比、社会语言学等研究。
曾主持国家社会科学基金课题一项，参与省部级重点课题一项，在SCI检索的OUl nal Zhejiang LIniversity Scien~P—C，SSCI检索的，OUlnal Quantitative Linguistics，一级期刊《浙江大学学报》(人文社会科学版)、核心期刊《外语研究》《外语学刊》《外语教学》、Teaching EnglishChina，EI检索的国际计算语言学会议等，发表论文近20篇，总计被引频次142次，其中一篇被中国人民大学复印资料全文转载，在科学出版社出版专著一部。
