To provide a platform to exchange new ideas, new findings and new technologies for the worldwide textile science and technology, and promote the academic cooperation in this area, the International Conference on Advanced Textile Materials & Manufacturing Technology was held on 15-19 October 2008 in Hangzhou, China.
A total of 112 scholars, specialists and students from universities, research institutes and enterprises in Australia, Canada, China (including Hong Kong), Iran, Japan, R. O. Korea, Singapore, the USA, the UK, and Vietnam participated in the conference and presented their papers covering following topic:
Advanced manufacturing technology of fibers and textiles; Novel technology of textile dyeing and finishing / Eco-dyeing & finishing; Technical textiles, textile structured composite and nonwoven; Smart and functional textiles and clothes; Medical textiles; Textiles & clothes care technology; The speed exaltation, automatization and intellectualization of textile machines; Application of Nano-technology in fiber and textiles; Testing of fiber and textiles; Others associated with above themes.
The proceedings collect all the papers in the form of oral presentation or poster on the conference and can be used as a reference for the reader in the area of textile materials & manufacturing technology.
